ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Bhavan’s College of Arts & Commerce, Kakkanad was established in the year 2015 under the management of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. This institution, which is affiliated to MG University, offers the following courses at the undergraduate level. 

B.Com - Model I (Finance and Taxation ) & B.Com-Model II (Computer Application)

Duration of the Course: 6 Semesters (3 Years)

 Academic Eligibility

Admission to the B.Com Degree Programme shall be open only to candidates who have passed the Plus Two or equivalent examination recognized by M.G. University with Book-Keeping and Accountancy and any two of the following subjects as optional under Part III of the examination

(1) Commerce, (2) Commercial Correspondence and Commercial Geography, (3) Economics, (4) Life Insurance with Salesmanship, (5) Banking with Secretarial Practice, (6) Business Studies, (7) Mathematics, (8) Computer Science/Computer applications, (9) Informatics Practice & Management, (10) Informatics Practice, (11) Management, (12) Accountancy
OR
Have passed Plus Two or equivalent examination recognized by this University with other subjects under Part III optional subjects provided they have secured 45 % of the aggregate marks. For SC/ST applicants and ST applicants of Lakshadweep, only a pass minimum is required and for SEBC and OEC applicants 3 % and 5 % relaxation of marks respectively are allowed.

B.A. English Literature and Communication Studies - MODEL III (TWO MAIN)

Duration of the Course: 6 Semesters (3 Years)

Academic Eligibility

Admission to all BA Degree Programmes under the faculties of Language and Literature shall be opened only to candidates who have passed plus two or equivalent examination or an examination recognised by M G University as equivalent thereto.


Bachelor of Business Administration

Duration of the Course: 6 Semesters (3 Years)

Academic Eligibility

Candidate shall be required to have passed plus two or equivalent examination or an examination recognised as equivalent there to by M G University.

Guidelines for Successful Application

  • Applicants for all UG Programmes can either apply online at the college website www.bhavanscollege.com or collect the application form from the college office .The application fee is Rs 300/-.
  • Candidates should make sure that they enter the correct details in the spaces provided in the online application form. The candidates are directed to fill in all the details including the marks.
  • Any error in the marks entered will be treated as fraudulence/falsification of marks and the application will be rejected at any given time during the application/selection or admission process.
  • For merit seats students should apply through the CAP of M.G University

Selection Procedures
The total of 40 seats each are allotted for B.Com Finance & Taxation, B.Com Computer Applications and BBA programmes, for which 50 % is Merit reservation.  The total intake of B.A English Literature and Communication Studies is 24, out of which 50 % is Merit reservation. The merit seats are filled through the CAP of M.G University.
