BHARATIYA VIDYA BHAVAN
Founded by KulapatiDr. K M Munshiji, on November 7, 1938, nearly a decade before the advent of independence, with the blessing of Mahatma Gandhi and the co-operation and support of several distinguished stalwarts of India’s freedom movement, the BharatiyaVidyaBhavan has grown from small beginnings to a comprehensive global, intellectual, cultural and educational movement . It is a totally secular and apolitical organization. The main purpose of the BharatiyaVidyaBhavan is to provide a bridge to span the past, present and future, on the strong foundation of the fundamental values of life.

The Bhavan believes that there are elements in all cultures that transcend all barriers and knit people together. Our ideal is “VasudhaivaKudumbakam “- (The World is one Family) and our  motto is “AnoBhadraahKratavoyantuvishvatah”- (Let noble thoughts come to us from every side). The Bhavan also firmly believes that revitalizing ancient values and reintegrating them to suit the changing needs of modern times alone will give people the strength to assimilate the good in the new, without being severed from their traditional moorings.
