Dr. Annie Thomas

Dr. Annie Thomas is currently occupying the post of the Head of the Department of English in Bhavan’s College of Arts and Commerce. She earned her Ph.D in English Literature from Bharathidasan University, Trichy. She has also earned her M.Phil in English Literature from Bharathidasan University, Trichy. She holds a Master’s Degree in English Literature from Stella Maris College, Chennai. She started her teaching career in 2011 and has taught both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students in some of the very reputed colleges in Cochin like M.E.S College, Bharata Mata College, St.Paul’s College, K.M.M College and SCMS School of Technology and Management. She joined Bhavan’s College of Arts and Commerce in 2023. Prior to joining Bhavan’s College, she was working as Assistant Professor of English cum Soft Skills Trainer in SCMS School of Technology and Management, Cochin. She has published many research articles in National and International Journals and has also presented papers in National and International Conferences and Seminars. She has also done a certificate course in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). She focuses more on activity-oriented teaching sessions to make learning process more interesting, informative and interactive.

Ms. Joshna Francis holds a Masters in English from St.Albert’s College, Ernakulam. She has completed her B.Ed in English and has qualified SET. She is in the second year of her teaching career. She joined Bhavan’s College of Arts & Commerce  in 2016.

Dr. Parvathy Nair holds a doctorate in English Literature from MG University. She completed her post graduation from Madras Christian College, Chennai and has qualified UGC NET. She has both teaching and research experience. She joined Bhavan's College of Arts and Commerce in November 2022.

Ms. Asha R B is a Post Graduate in Mass Communication and Journalism from Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University, Tirur. She holds NET and SET in Mass Communication and Journalism. Formerly she worked as a Content Writer in a Technopark based company and has experience in career counseling. She joined Bhavan’s College of Arts & Commerce in 2023.

Ms. Dona Soman holds a Master of Arts in English from School of Letters, MG University. She is currently pursuing her PhD from NIT Uttarakhand. She has qualified her NET and SET and has 3 and half years of teaching experience in reputed institutions across India. She joined Bhavan's College of Arts and Commerce in 2023.

Ms. Keerthana Hareendran is a post graduate in English with Communication Studies from Christ University, Bangalore. Formerly, she worked as an English lecturer at Indira Gandhi Group of Institutions, Kothamangalam. And has prior experience as a data researcher at an Infopark-based company and in journalism from Deshabhimani Printing and Publishing Company. She joined Bhavan's College of Arts & Commerce in 2024.
